What is an eSIM?
A SIM card helps mobile networks identify who you are, and understand what services you can use. An eSIM does the same as a plastic physical SIM card, but it can be downloaded. So, no plastic waste and no need to open your phone to swap SIM cards!
What about my current SIM?
Just leave your current SIM in your handset. When travelling you use Coop Travel eSIM, to save money. When back home continue using your current SIM. During the installation of your Coop Travel eSIM, we will explain how that is done.
Can I call and SMS when travelling?
You can receive calls on your current mobile number if you want. TIP: you often pay for receiving calls abroad. You can switch off your current SIM while abroad and use WhatsApp to call.
